MISSION & FAITH
     Mission and Statement of Faith

Adopted January 10, 2016 by La Pine Community Church

Mission Statement
God has called the La Pine Community Church to draw people to His Son so that His creative purpose in every person can be realized. That’s our mission: To help you fulfill life’s purpose.

Behind this mission is our historic and deep commitment to the Gospel of Christ and the inerrancy of Scriptures. Accomplishing this mission will only come as we fulfill the basic responsibilities of every local church: worship, instruction, fellowship and evangelism.

We sense that God has given us a distinct assignment as a local church. We’re excited. We invite you to join us as we, together, pursue lives of eternal significance in Christ Jesus.

Statement of Doctrine
The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God breathed.

The One Triune God eternally exists in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.

The Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became a man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

The Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.

The Holy Spirit is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption.

Man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that man is totally depraved, and of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.

Salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; and, that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord.

God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. The Biblical definition of marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman. Any form of sexual immorality is sinful and offensive to God.
